What’s with all this fancy Cloud stuff?

Chances are if you are a Mulrooney & Associates client we are currently using cloud technology for your bookkeeping needs. If you aren’t yet on the cloud, please stop ignoring my e-mails; we need to talk.

You may be asking… ‘How does all of this cloud stuff help me, the business owner?’… Well… Let’s go through a couple of the benefits to you the business owner:

Transparency and Information

You, the business owner have access to your data at anytime, in real-time. No more trading files with your bookkeeper hoping you don’t pull the wrong back-up. You can see where you stand financially at any point, in real-time.

Systems Access; Anytime, Anywhere

You can access your data anywhere, anytime as long as you have an internet connection. In fact, you could do you invoicing from your phone on the spot at a clients location or at your cottage enjoying your down time or even while enjoying a delicious 20 pack of McNuggets in the McDonalds parking lot.

At this point you are on your mobile trying to read past the grease on the screen wondering why they only give you 2 things of dipping sauce. What will cross your mind later is ‘Where did that receipt go?’ How does all this cloud stuff help with that?

Document Sharing

With cloud applications your documents can be uploaded by simply taking a pic on your phone or forwarding an e-mail. No more searching, collecting, dropping off at the bookkeepers, reading the bookkeepers e-mail of everything you missed to your own dismay and repeating the process.

Ultimately, we as bookkeepers work with you on your business. We want you to have the most up to date information so you can make informed decisions. We want you focusing on your business as opposed to tedious administrative tasks. As much as you hate getting that e-mail with all the receipts you forgot to drop off, (trust me) we hate sending it. If you aren’t on the cloud already it’s time for that discussion. If you are, it’s still time for that discussion; let’s look at how much more we can do to help your business.
